Merlin 'Neogothic' is an architectural style of the 19th century, mainly used for mansions and manorhouses (I believe first in england, then in the rest of the world). It played with elements of medieval castles - like small towers etc. If you enter 'neogothic castle' into any search-machine (like google), you'll get examples...
